Conservation Research Grants

Birds SA has a strong and proud legacy of supporting the science of birds and their conservation in South Australia.

The Conservation Fund was established in 2008 to sponsor conservation science on South Australian birds. Thanks to donations from our amazing members, it continues today to support early career researchers and community projects dedicated to saving our birds. You, too, can support this important statewide biodiversity initiative by donating today.

Small research grants are awarded to eligible students and community research groups of up to a maximum of $10,000 to support various research areas of bird conservation science. Applications to study bird species/populations and interactions with their habitats in South Australia are encouraged.  The Conservation Fund is administered by the Conservation Fund Committee which is described in the Committees page
