Birding in SA

South Australia is blessed with a wide variety of birds in accessible and beautiful environments.

To experience and understand them is a powerful incentive to advocate for their protection and the preservation of their habitats.

Birds SA has a large and growing knowledge base on this website.  It includes maps, guides and bird lists and a handy 'where to go' search tool.  There are regular publications, online and in print, a hard copy library and resources to help you identify and report rare birds.

It runs regular excursions with expert guides listed under Find an event.

Check out our birding resources below.
